On stanning The Civil Wars (as in the musical duo).

I wish I could post more relevant stuff on here, like maybe romantic advice or anything relatable — unfortunately, all I have in my arsenal are random prattles. Hehe.

Tonight I’m battling writer’s block by listening to this song collab between Coldplay and The Chainsmokers, Something Just Like This. My mother is currently watching the evening news and I have difficulty writing when I hear TV sounds so I had to listen to something.

This is the first song I came across when I punched in my earphones and it kind of cracked my heart down the middle because it is a stark reminder of that epic Coldplay concert that I missed. Argh. But I won’t dwell on it — I will watch a Coldplay concert one day. That’s a girl scout promise.

There’s just a lot on my plate currently. Priorities must be set. I can’t be splurging money on concert tickets when I know I have to be saving. It’s ultimately for this greater purpose that I don’t really want to talk about on a public post. For now.

The Coldplay/Chainsmokers song is over, and now I’m listening to a The Civil Wars playlist. The songs are simultaneously breaking and mending my heart, I don’t even know. What I do know is that they should be music player staples, along with Iron and Wine. (Dust to Dust is currently playing and it kind of makes me wish I have a shoulder to lean my head on, but since I have no such person at the moment, this wall beside me will have to do. Hehe.)

Oh, and their Billie Jean cover is dope. PLEASE download it.

And in case you’ve got a pen pal or a mystery friend or whatever, play To Whom It May Concern and fall in love because it’s only the ultimate soulmate song.

And I Want You Back is the ultimate groveling song of regret for the lovesick blockheads who never knew what they had until it’s gone.

Anyway. Maybe I’ll share my playlist here some other time. Right now I’m having a hard time focusing on this post because PRIMETIME TELEVISION.

I’m giving in.

Excuse My Face.

I'm not lost but I haven't been found either.
